Tour Leader 101 Tour

C’mon Out and Be a Tour Leader! There are four guided tours planned for MG2007:

  • The drive to the Union Hotel for the Rustic Italian Dinner
  • The Mille de Mendocino
  • The Bodega Bay tour
  • The Wine Country tour

The Italian Dinner and Mille each already have over 80 cars registered to participate. That’s too many cars for a single tour leader to handle safely and efficiently. We need tour leaders! We’ll run the large tours in multiple sections, but we still need leader cars at the front and rear of the group, and possibly even a car or two within the group. Come on out and learn what it takes to be a tour leader. We’ll go over what you need to know, what to watch out for on the tour, and what to do if things go wrong. Then we’ll go out on one of the shorter tours to practice, end up at a lunch stop, and review and answer questions over lunch.  

  • What: Tour Guide 101 – How to lead a tour for MG2007
  • Where: Starting from the DoubleTree Hotel in Rohnert Park
  • When: Sunday, June 17, 10am
  • Why: To learn how to lead a tour, keep the participants together, and handle any problems that come up
  • Bring: Your MG and your handheld radio if you have them.
