Club T MG in Portland, Oregon invites you to join us at Rendezvous 2008 at Cottage Grove Oregon in the heart of covered bridges country. This long-weekend event features many familiar and many innovative events. In addition to a familiar car show (on the grass), there will be a rally while walking! We will tour the picturesque covered bridges, and have an old-fashioned ice-cream social. The funkhana is a car game that uses your driving skills in a humorous and fun way. The awards banquet is planned outdoors in a garden setting. We do have a backup plan if the weather doesn't cooperate. And we are trying to organize a gold mine tour! The Village Green in Cottage Grove has given us a fantastically low room price of $70/night. The venue has been recently purchased and remodeled by a company that is also building a resort at the Oregon Garden in Silverton. The rooms are all on the ground floor and have access to the extensive gardens on the grounds. This is the 26th annual Rendezvous hosted by Club T MG. Other clubs have always been invited, but the word may not have reached you. Won't you join us, either individually or together as a group? It's more fun when we have a crowd of old friends and new. We would love to see you and your car. Registration materials will be ready in April. New Date: August 2, 2008 Come tour the scenic foothills as we visit three or four wineries, ending up back at On the Road Again for a late lunch/early dinner of BBQ tri-tip or chicken, with salad and beans. Cost: $5 per person, to cover the cost of food. When and Where: 10 am on Saturday, August 2 at On the Road Again, 16840 Joleen Way, Unit G4, Morgan Hill Directions: Take 101 South to Morgan Hill. Exit at East Dunne Ave. and go Right on E. Dunne. Turn Left onto Joleen Way (2nd street), and follow Joleen to the end. Enter the parking lot and go straight to the back.
